Basement Flood Restoration

Recovering from water damage requires a precise balance of structural restoration and aesthetic finishing. This project involved the complete rehabilitation of two rooms and a hallway following a flood, ensuring the space was not only restored but upgraded to meet Ontario Building Code standards.

Scope of Work

The restoration process was executed with a focus on seamless integration and long-term durability:

Drywall Restoration: Following the removal of damaged materials, I installed a 2 foot flood cut of new drywall throughout the affected areas. This included professional taping, mudding, and sanding to create a perfectly smooth, paint-ready surface that blends invisibly with the existing upper walls.

Precision Carpentry and Trim: To provide a polished, high-end look, I installed custom-fit trim around all doorways, complemented by new baseboards and shoemolding. My focus on tight miters and clean transitions ensures a sophisticated finish that elevates the entire basement.

Flooring Installation: I installed new flooring across both rooms and the connecting hall, creating a cohesive and resilient surface designed to withstand the demands of a finished basement environment.
